Mallory is a Pacific Northwest native with the rain in her blood and the forest in her bones. She took her first yoga class with her mom when she was 14 and immediately knew that yoga would become - and always be - an integral part of her life. After graduating high school she put off college for a year to complete her 200-hour teacher training with Power Yoga Academy in her hometown of Bellingham. Additionally, she has completed a trauma-informed teacher training with renowned yoga instructor and somatic integration therapist Hala Khouri.Mallory teaches group as well as one-on-one classes. She is passionate about incorporating the nourishing modalities of yoga into a career in healthcare, and is committed to making yoga accessible to all in a wide variety of settings. She leads a soulful, invigorating practice that incorporates the dynamic movement that bodies thrive on physiologically with deep introspection and awareness, creating a class that is both physically and emotionally nourishing. She considers herself a student first and foremost, and teaches from a place of humility. She is constantly learning from her practice and her students, and deeply values the role of the student-teacher relationship in the continuous evolution and refinement of her teaching. She continues to immerse herself in learning through trainings, reading, and an ever-evolving personal practiceBesides being a yogi and yoga instructor, Mallory is an accomplished classically-trained pianist, all-around music enthusiast, wanna-be dancer, college student, artist, and self-proclaimed anatomy & physiology nerd who makes a mean cup of coffee and feels most at home when being outdoors.
