Having worked as a personal trainer for many years, I'm inspired in my work as a trainer and yoga teacher to re-define strength, moving away from the notion of physical superiority, and towards an approach that strength is simply courage: courage to see all that is, not simply what “should” be. In the brave act of choosing to see ourselves fully, we can find compassion for our limits, respect for our strengths, and the freedom to explore the edges of experience – whether that is running, yoga, or lifting weights in the garage.
