DOMS appears to have two components: 1) from the tissue damage and 2) from ongoing lactate regeneration. Endothelial inflammation (Manfred von Ardenne) reduces blood flow through capillaries, which causes sustained hypoxia. Hypoxia causes muscles to remain anaerobic due to diminished oxygen supply. We have repeatedly and durably resolved DOMS with enhanced Oxygen Protocols in about 15 minutes using a variant of Campbells Interval training and hyperoxic/hypoxic (AltitudeContrast.com) training. The method is published on this site.
