I took my first yoga class in the summer of 2011 while on tour with a Broadway musical. It was a heated vinyasa class. I needed a way to refresh while traveling the country and performing 8 times a week. I was hooked!! Yoga gave me a way to exercise my body, calm my mind and fill my spirit with renewed energy and clarity. I've also struggled with addiction in my past, yoga provided a mindfulness practice that encouraged self-love and connection.Once I settled in Chicago in the spring of 2013, I found a studio close to home with a supportive community of yogis and teachers who encouraged me to further my yoga journey through a teacher training program. I completed my power yoga teacher training in the spring of 2015, became a RYT200 registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and I currently teach for CorePower Yoga Chicago. My desire is to encourage other yogis to find peace of mind, discover their flexibility and explore their strength through the practice of vinyasa yoga. Coming from a background in the performing arts I encourage students to look inside themselves to connect to their inspiration, release their creativity and expand their mindfulness and self-confidence.
