Justin has been a passionate advocate for yoga since he discovered a long neglected copy of B. K. S. Iyengar's classic "Light on Yoga" in his Southern California high school library.
Justin believes that we are all beings on a journey and yoga is the journey of our being. Justin's own journeys have whisked him from the high deserts of California to the low backwaters of India to midtown Manhattan where he earned his yoga teacher credentials studying under Kevin Bigger, Amanda Winkler and Taryn Vander Hoop at New York City's world-renowned OmFactory School of Yoga. Justin is also Red Cross certified in First Aid CPR.
Fascinated by recent scientific breakthroughs on happiness; Justin joined Berkeley University's Greater Good Science Center founded by Dr. Dacher Keltner and received certification in Berkeley University’s "The Science of Happiness" program.
As a lifelong gardener and reader Justin believes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual compassionate growth generates purposeful well-being which radiates outwards. Justin brings this guiding philosophy to his yoga and meditation classes where he positively empowers students of all ages and sizes to invite- then embrace the Yogi within.
