Deborah Koehn

Deborah is a yogini, medicine woman, healer, and naturalist. For more than 35 years she has merged her love of yoga, adventure and exploration to found and lead Yoga Adventure, one of the world’s leading yoga retreats offering spiritual and cultural immersions internationally in Hawaii, Bali and Peru. She also offers Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Trainings and continuing education, and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists providing education in the therapeutic applications of yoga. She has degrees in Eastern Religions, Sociology, and immersions with Andean shamans and Balinese healers. Trainings and retreats are offered at her Big Island Hawaii ocean front home with a full spectrum of natural beauty, flowers and fruit trees, crystalline waters for snorkeling, and a healthy lifestyle. Her first teachers include Indra Devi, who is credited as the “mother of yoga” in the western world, yoga masters B.K.S. Iyengar, Angela Farmer, Victor Van Kooten, Aadil Palkhivala, and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
