For Daina, a 500-hr RYT, yoga has been a touchstone in her life: offering not only a space to feel powerful and free in her body, but also a calming and grounding place in times of stress. Although she practiced on and off for more than two decades, she became more devoted to exploring all yoga had to offer in the past several years.That shift led to a desire to deepen her practice, which in turn led to teacher training, assisting others, and eventually teaching her own classes. In this process, she has been blessed to witness the transformative powers of the practice in so many students, watching yoga make space for a more purposeful, mindful life.Her own desire to live life joyfully, with attention and intention, leads to classes that ask students to be mindful and curious. As a teacher, Daina hopes to give her students a greater awareness of breath, and in turn, the possibility to create new openings in their physical bodies, in their hearts, and in their minds. In her classes, she combines her love of words and movement, teaching playful sequences that are both challenging and restorative.
