Claudia Botthof

Claudia is a leading expert in the field of personal training and health. She has written close to 100 publications for local newspapers and online resources on topics as they relate to fitness, health and nutrition and served as an instructor for the American College of Sports Medicine for several years. She continues to be a Certification Specialist for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Recently she has expanded the concept of health by incorporating natural and holistic methods to establish a single definition for health and fitness. Claudia has earned her Masters Degree In Exercise Science at the University of Rhode Island in 2002 and her Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, Health and Adaptive Physical Education in 1995. Claudia received her Phd. from the Clayton College of Natural Health in Naturopathy in 2011. She is an ACSM and AFAA certified Personal Fitness Trainer and also certified by the International Sports Medicine Association and AAAI as a Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics and Aqua Aerobics Instructor. Furthermore, she is a certified Post-Rehabilitation Trainer (IDEA), Nutrition Specialist (FRA) and Kettlebell Instructor (NETA). The American Red Cross presented her with the credentials of an authorized provider of services as a CPR/First Aid/AED Trainer and Swim Instructor. Claudia has been a personal trainer for more than 20 years and conducts fitness and health specific presentations on a national and international level. Claudia is also a Level II Reiki Practitioner. As a Physical Education Teacher in Warwick she continues to encourage and motivate young people to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. She is an active member of IDEA (Health and Fitness Organization), AFAA, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
