I have always been active in many sports, but it seemed that just when I would begin to progress, an injury would plague me. I always seemed to be recuperating from one injury or another. Initially I was drawn to Bikram Yoga because of its physical challenge, but I soon discovered that there was more to the yoga. It increased my mind body awareness, and all of the injuries seemed to disappear! Yoga has helped me relax, lose weight and manage stress more effectively. The years of practicing have made subtle changes in my attitude, physical appearance and demeanor. I attribute these changes to hot yoga. I have taught yoga since 1999 when I earned my Bikram Certification. I teach with energy and use my personal experience together with a friendly approach that welcomes and encourages all levels to participate. I believe everyone would benefit from a regular yoga practice!
