Aloha! I'm very happy to introduce you to my main class, which is "Joy in Moving." It's very much like having fun among friends, as we move and dance to very good music in a relaxed group setting. You'll be intrigued to discover more about your body and the ease with which you can move! Even if you're already conditioned and love to exercise, you'll leave class with a deeper understanding of your body and a more solid foundation or basis for moving better, whether for sports, dance and/or activities of daily living. 'Joy in Moving' is based mostly on Rosen Method Movement which was designed by Marion Rosen, PT to prevent physical difficulties before they arise. Other movement approaches are included, such as Movement Fundamentals by Irmgard Bartenieff, PT & Laban Movement by Rudolf von Laban. These approaches are part of my repertoire of noninjurious methods that work with the natural structure and function of the body. If your doctor has also recommended exercise as part of your recovery; or if you are finished with PT and need further support, feel free to contact me to see if this class is for you. All participants proceed from their own level in this low-impact, gentle yet effective class. Benefits include better alignment, flexibility, breathing, circulation, and lubrication of the joints, among others - in a manner where you move with ease and can 'dance' through life!
